Since marching season ended in November, the Timber Creek band has been working morning and afternoons — and even during lunches — towards their next concert.
On Feb. 10 the band will have a concert at 6:30 pm featuring different “choirs” of instruments.
Each section of instruments has united to learn music specific to their instrument: oboe, bassoon, saxophone, clarinet, flute and brass. These groups are called choirs.
The Wind Ensemble brass choir is planning to record their music and submit it to a competition where it will compete with other choirs across the nation.
Along with each section choir, each of the five band classes will perform sections of their UIL competition pieces.
The indoor Drumline will do their competition show, as an opener to the concert. The Winterguard is having a showcase before the concert as well.
