Timber Creek art students have a lot to be proud of following their performance in the state VASE competition.
On Saturday, April 25, 34 Timber Creek student artworks went to VASE state art competition.
Of the artworks, 19 students won all-state honors, receiving a rating of 4 on their pieces. Those students were: Janae Fernandez, April Britton, Mackenzie Haughton, Dianna Laurent, Antonio Mendez, Sloane Miller Elaine Nguyen,Sarah Trinh, Isabela Uribe Lopez, Hannah Boggs, Jake Howard, Rachel Jans, Lauren Bonham, Victoria Xu Sandra Meridew, Madi Parks, Shreena Patel, Kailyn Rhee, Sabrina Shrum, Kamron Gopffarth, Brittany Lukawski, and Makyla Leclaire.
Four Timber Creek students, Sloane Miller, Hannah Boggs, Dianna Laurent, and Isabela Lopez went on to win Gold Seals, the highest award given out at VASE.
Miller and fellow artist Kamron Gopffarth both won a scholarship competition.
Timber Creek ranked in the top 150 out of 29,000 students all over the state of Texas.
