One Timber Creek club is designed to do one key thing — make you think.
The Philosophy Club debates and discusses philosophy and meets in Ms. Taylor’s room in the south hall, room S 217, every Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m.
Student Mark Liu is the president of the club and begins meetings with a certain topic that deals with philosophy, sometimes just introducing it, or starting with a video.
How they spend the rest of their time is up to the whole club. They discuss their ideas and what they believe is true. Sometimes it gets pretty heated.
“If people can’t get their point or idea across correctly, then other people keep misinterpreting it, sometimes it does,” says Grace Everett.
So what is the best part of spending time in the philosophy club?
“Usually the discussion part and seeing everybody’s different view points,” says Everett.
