The fifth annual Young Adult Keller Book Festival (YAK Fest) will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. at Central High School.
YAK Fest strives to provide the Keller ISD teen community with exceptional opportunities to connect with award-winning young adult authors and give teens an entertaining, educational event. All Keller ISD students are invited to attend, as well as the surrounding communities.
The 2016 authors will include Kimberly Derting, S. E. Green, Jeramy Kraatz, and Delirium author Lauren Oliver.
Students who attend YAK Fest will have the opportunity to listen to keynote speaker Julie Murphy, author of Side Effects May Vary. Students can also attend free workshops, buy food, drinks, t-shirts, and books, and get their books signed by a wide range of attending authors.
