Timber Creek cheerleaders are going head to head with their annual rival Keller High School in competition on Sunday at the University of North Texas.
Out of the four participating cheer teams, two are intermediate, and two are advanced. Sunday’s competition serves as the last big test before NCA nationals, which the whole school year is spent preparing for.
Cheer Coach Jaime Morgan said the cheer team is facing a real challenge due to the break and the scheduling but was confident her teams would do well.
“I am so proud of each and every one of the cheerleaders for their hard work over the past few weeks in preparing for competition season,” Coach Morgan said. “It has been a long road, but they have come so far and I am sure their routines will reflect how much they have worked.”
The teams recently won major awards at the Dec. 6 NCA State of Texas Championships, including a Grand Champion win for the Advanced Co-Ed Cheer team.
