Timber Creek Class of 2016 — here’s a list of things you need to know about:
Green Cords are in and several seniors have not picked theirs up. Please have your senior go by M226 and get their cords from Mr. Day.
If you ordered your cap and gown late, the next delivery date is on May 16th.
Please make sure you have discussed the efforts your seniors are making to clear up their seat time if they have time remaining. These hours need to be turned in by May 13, 2016!
DAP STOLES
DAP stoles have arrived. If you ordered a stole for graduation, please pick it up from Mr. Carrington in C109, preferably before or after school.
DIPLOMA Pick-up:
This year, students will not receive their diplomas at the conclusion of the ceremony (they will receive the diploma cover). Seniors will pick up their diplomas at TCHS on June 1 and 2 from 1:00-4:00 pm OR from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday beginning June 6.
Balfour Delivery of Cap & Gowns:
Balfour delivered caps and gowns this week. If your senior did not pick theirs up, please have them go to the Counseling Department to get their order. Balfour will return one last time on May 16 during all lunches to deliver last minute orders. They will also take care of any exchanges (too small, too large, etc.) at that time. Please bring a form of ID to pick up orders.
TSI (Texas Success Initiative) Assessment:
TCHS will be hosting TSI testing on April 27-29 in the library during the school day. Testing will begin at 8:30 each day and last approximately 2 hours. TCC will be proctoring the exam for our seniors, but a student may use the results for any Texas college or university. To be eligible for the TSI, the student must first complete a TCC application and pre-assessment activity. Once the student has a TCC student identification number, they may sign up for the testing by completing the request form on the TCHS counseling page. Completing the TCC application is for testing purposes only; you are not required to pay a fee or sign up for classes. 1st come, 1st served! There are 150
testing spots. This is for seniors only, not Dual Credit classes for 2016-2017.
2016 Graduation Rehearsal & Panoramic Photo:
Friday, May 27, 8:00 am – TCHS Small Gym. Attendance is mandatory. There will be a panoramic photo made of
the entire senior class immediately following the rehearsal. All seniors need to arrive in cap and gown with the
appropriate clothing underneath for the rehearsal and picture. Students who were selected to carry an international
flag must be present at the rehearsal in order to carry the flag at graduation. TICKETS TO GRADUATION WILL
BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE SENIORS AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE REHEARSAL.

2016 Graduation:
The Timber Creek High School Class of 2016 will graduate on May 28, 2016 at 8:00 pm, at College Park Center, 601 Spaniolo Drive, Arlington, TX 76019. All guests entering College Park Center require a ticket, regardless of age.
DRESS CODE for Graduation Ceremony:
Males: dark slacks with dress shoes (no sneakers, tennis shoes, flip flops, sandals, etc.) and collared shirt (no exotic/neon colors).
Females: high heels (not over 3 inches), dress shoes, (no exotic/neon colors).
Caps – the top of the cap can be decorated as long as it’s appropriate. Nothing can hang over the edges with the exception of the official tassel. If the decoration is deemed inappropriate, caps will be taken.
DIPLOMAS:
This year, students will not receive their diplomas at the conclusion of the ceremony (they will receive the diploma cover). Instead, they can come to TCHS the following week during our operating hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) to pick up their diploma. Monday, May 30, is a holiday and school will be closed.
Senior Yearbook:
YEARBOOKS ARE (ALMOST) HERE!: They will be delivered the week before graduation and we know you won’t want to miss out on this final chance. The website has been reopened and will allow for about 25 more yearbooks to be sold. http://www.yearbookforever.com. If you’d rather order on campus, we can take CASH ONLY until we reach our number. Bring $80 to M106. If you have questions about the yearbook, you may contact the advisor at kathy.beers@kellerisd.net.
Scholarships & College Cards:
Please continue to report scholarship $ to Julie Delgado in the Counseling Department. You can also continue to let
Mrs. Wimmer know where your student is going to college. Acceptance letters are not required to make a college card for the windows. The last day to have a college card made will be May 16. All cards will be taken down after the Senior Awards Ceremony.
2016 Project Graduation:
The next Project Graduation meeting is Monday, April 25th at 7pm in the TCHS Library. Please make plans to attend, we have a lot of info to share and our event is just around the corner!

*Limited need based scholarships – If you know a family who has a senior who would like to attend, but is unable to pay the registration fee, please recommend that the senior inquire about applying for one of the PG16 scholarships in the TCHS counseling office. The counselors will determine eligibility and award these scholarships. Interested seniors are encouraged to inquire by April 29th.
Payment plan – if you registered using the payment plan, the April payment is now due. You may leave the payment in the office at school. Please ensure the envelop is labeled with your senior’s name and your contact information, so that I can match it to the correct senior.
Graduation Yard Signs – Order a personalized sign to celebrate your senior’s graduation. The signs are only $25 and are the perfect way to decorate for your senior’s graduation party!
