WALK OFF DINGER. No better way to get a home run then to send your team to the next round! @madie_green17 @ReddiesSB pic.twitter.com/tmBNgV8Qvw

The Timber Creek softball program is not unfamiliar with making it to the playoffs, but this year the team is doing things that have never been accomplished by any past teams.
Varsity softball will move on to the Regional Semi-Final round of the playoffs on May 20 and 21, 2016. The next games will be played at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls against Frenship High School.
Game 1 is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, May 20. Game 2 is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, with a Game 3, if necessary, 30 minutes after the end of Game 2.
The team lost their first game in the series against Mansfield, but rallied to win two games in a row and win the series. The girls are not only scraping by in their games either, they are winning with style.
To cap off their last win, Madie Green, hit a three-run walkoff home run to make the score 5-2.
“Honestly I couldn’t believe what had just happened, but as soon as I saw my coaches and teammates faces at home plate, that was the best feeling ever,” Green said.
The team is very excited to be moving on this deep in the playoffs and has high hopes for the future.
“It feels amazing! It’s so unreal honestly to be going in with a strong team, we are all in this together and we all have one goal; to make history at TC,” softball player Makaylah Ramirez said.
Team members said it’s only onwards and upwards for the team. If the team advances in two more rounds, our Falcons will be in the state playoffs.
“I expect to at least make it into the state tournament,” Ramirez said. “Honestly, I’m so proud of the team even if the worst occurs and it doesn’t work out this may have been the best softball team at TC ever, and I’m so proud of each and every one of them!”
