This year, the Keller ISD Marching Expo will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. The marching expo is a chance for people to see every band student in the district perform in one place. The four high schools will be performing selections of their 2016 programs, and the six middle schools will be performing a pep tune. At the end of the night, all ten schools come onto the field and perform one song together. This year, the song will be “Smoke on the Water” by Deep Purple.
Senior clarinet player Ainsley Machnik says, “My favorite part about the expo is that it’s band students only, and we all come together to support the other bands in Keller ISD.”
The expo will be held at the Keller ISD stadium by Keller High School. Tickets will be sold at the gate for $5. Concession stands will be open and will sell drinks, chips, candy and hotdogs. In & Out Burger will have a food truck where they will be selling meals including a burger, chips and a drink.
“My least favorite part about the expo is all the standing, but I really enjoy seeing the other bands and learning from them,” Senior trumpet player Dylan Howard told Talon reporters.
Timber Creek is the first band to perform at 7:05 p.m., so be sure to come out and support your Falcon band!
