Have a passion for fashion? Join the Fashion Club sponsored by Mr. Gonzalez. The first meeting of the school year will be on Monday, Sept.19, 2016 at 3:45 in room C217.
The club members sketch designs of everything from t-shirts to handbags. They watch fashion shows from many different fashion designers. There is even a competition the members can participate in. The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise (FDIM) located in Los Angeles, California sponsors a contest where anyone can enter. Most of the time the institute has people submit sketches for the competition.
For students interested in a fashion career, the club also offers scholarship opportunities for FIDM such as Prom Advice Scholarship and Active Member Scholarship.
“Fashion club is a creative place where students learn about fashion careers and have fun,” says club president Taylor Lombard.
