TCHS Interact plans to send letters of gratitude to troops overseas during this holiday season.
On Wednesday, Nov. 16 through Friday, Nov. 18, Interact plans to set up tables during every lunch where all students can write cards of appreciation to soldiers overseas that are unable to return home for the holidays. Students can also submit their letters to Interact sponsor Mrs. Melissa West in room S217.
While cheering up troops during the holiday season, these letters will express our gratitude for their hard work and dedication to the United States of America. Interact aims to write at least 1000 letters in total to give thanks to soldiers who continue to fight for American freedom.
“I wanted to send our thanks [to troops overseas] as an entire school. It is very important to thank them for their service towards our protection,” West commented. “I think that we can provide a voice if we come together to say one big ‘thank you’, as opposed to individually.”
