For the second year in a row the Falcon Bowling team has won the title of first place in the district.

The team will be competing in the regional tournament on March 5 at Cityview Lanes in Fort Worth. The teams Timber Creek will be facing at regionals are Birdville, Brewer, Boswell, Chisolm Trail, Keller, Lake Ridge, Legacy, and Mansfield.

“We are all very excited to be going [to regionals] again this year,” sophomore bowler, Kaitlyn Fleming commented. “We didn’t do too well last year but we all have a good feeling we’re going to do way better.”

To prepare for the upcoming regionals tournament, the bowling team has been practicing on Mondays from 4:30 – 5:00 since early November. A normal practice consists of the team going over drills such as one steps or perfecting their swing.

Junior Marques Nelson, along with Fleming, have also qualified for the singles tournament at regionals. This tournament will take place after the team competition is completed.

“Personally, I can’t wait for singles,” Fleming revealed.

Timber Creek’s competing bowling team includes:

Seniors: Jason Kilian, Colton Wells

Juniors: Kayla Lor, Marques Nelson, Tony Selander, Bryce Sheets

Sophomores: Kaitlyn Fleming, Austin Van Heusen
