On Tuesday, Feb. 7, the Timber Creek Band along with the Trinity Springs and Timberview Middle School bands will host a combined mid-winter concert beginning at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center.
This is the first annual combined concert between all three schools, giving the middle school students an opportunity to have the high school students play their music with them and get a taste of what it’s like to be in high school band.
“I think this concert will be a great chance for high school students to get to know the middle school students that will be joining the program next year,” explains Erin Obregon, a sophomore flute player. “It will also give them a good preview of the types of music they may play in years to come.”
Additionally, the high school concert bands will play selections they have been preparing from their UIL program. This event will allow the middle school students a chance to get to know some of the high schoolers and essentially get them excited for the high school band experience.
Admission is free to this special event where the middle school and high school levels will come together to showcase a variety of music. Come support the Falcon family!
