CTE
Greg Gopffarth consistently goes above and beyond to help anyone in need, especially where technology is concerned. His dedication to his profession and his students is commendable; his sense of humor and smile are admirable! He is a fun member of the CTE Team!
English
Brian Elliott, English III. Even with large classes, Brian provides individualized attention to each student based on needs and interests. He greets students at the door every day, and shakes hands with former students who pass by. Brian has served as sponsor for the Mocking Birds and currently enjoys his time with the archery club. If keeping track of all of that isn’t enough, Brian is beginning his master’s degree program—a lifelong learner. He is quick to help others with any project or need. One of Brian’s students recently admitted that she has never read a whole book, but she bought her own copy of The Great Gatsby so that she could mark important ideas in it—that’s what it’s all about!

Rosalinda Scott is one of the kindest and sincerest persons you will ever meet. She greets everyone with a loving and welcoming smile. She has a heart as big as Texas and is incapable of saying no if it will benefit students. Rosalinda has been teaching for many years yet she is always willing to try new things and incorporate new strategies. She is a mentor to both teachers as well as students. Her daily quotes on her traveling cart are reminders of how both teachers and students can be better people.
Social Studies
This month I would like to nominate Coach Ritchie for Teacher of the Month. Coach Ritchie has been a vital member of the Social Studies Department since the early years of Timber Creek. Coach Ritchie provides his students a safe, nurturing environment infused with a deep knowledge of World Geography. He has a way with those students that need a steady and encouraging voice in their academic journey. I’m grateful for his continued professionalism and positive attitude. It’s with great pleasure that I recommend Coach Ritchie.
