Timber Creek’s Track and Field team has been training all year in preparation to dominate at this year’s district track meet.
The varsity girls team took second place with 129 points. Junior varsity girls also stole second place with 104 points. Varsity boys took third place with 97 points. Junior varsity boys ran off with second place with 139 points.
The team traveled to Weatherford to compete on Wednesday and Thursday, April 5-6. Despite the early morning bus rides, the athletes brought their ‘A game’ and took the titles of second and third place.
The district track meet is not the last meet of the season for numerous athletes apart of the team. The top four placing varsity athletes from each event will move on to compete at the area meet on April 20, at the Keller Stadium.
