The TC football team is in search of football managers for the upcoming spring and fall season.

The program is seeking numerous candidates for this role in order to interchange them when scheduling who will attend practices, games, and assume certain responsibilities. There is no maximum number of students to be accepted.

Applications are not mandatory, just speak to Coach Ritchie or Coach Casillas if you are interested in the position. However, passing all of your classes is required as a prerequisite, per UIL rules. No pass, no play is in effect for the team managers. Candidates are encouraged to appeal to the coaches as soon as possible to be trained, so they are ready to report in early August when practices first begin.

The position includes, but is not limited to, filming practices, setting up the field, and attending each practice and game on the sidelines. Specifically, during the season, the manager(s) will meet with the team at 6:30am to prepare the field for each morning practice.

A couple benefits of this capacity consist of receiving a team tshirt, and after being a manager for two years, you are eligible for a letterman jacket.

With further questions regarding the position, see Coach Ritchie or Coach Casillas in the field house before/after school or during passing periods.

“You are actually a part of the football program,” Casillas reveals. “It really is a grind during football season.”
