School begins for students Aug. 15, and there are a few things that are important to know going into the first day.
Schedules are posted on the Home Access center for every student. If a student is still unsure of where to go on the first day, every student’s first-period class number will be posted in the Main Hall. Every student will get a physical copy of their schedules during their first period. These hard copies will give the student entrance to every other class, so keep them. Make sure that the schedule has eight periods and that it has the four core classes (math, english, science, and social studies). Do not worry about the lunch period, the third-period teacher will announce when it is time for lunch.
If there is a problem with the schedule, do not go to the counseling office. The counselors will be available during the first 2 days of school during lunches. There is also the option of requesting schedule changes online at the TCHS Counselors Corner if there is anything missing or wrong with the schedule. The counselors will call the student or send them the revised schedule when the problems are fixed. Schedules will not be changed for electives.
Every student must remain in the class that the schedule provides and follow that schedule until the problem is solved.
