Beginning July 26, all members of the TC band began daily rehearsals to prepare for the upcoming marching band season.

The length of these practices varied, with most days starting as early as 8 a.m. and ending at 8 p.m. During band camp, all members learned the spirit show which consists of playing the TC Fanfare, Timber, Land of 1000 Dances, and the fight song while spelling TCHS and Falcons. Varsity members also started working on this year’s competition show.

A preview will be held on Friday, Aug. 18 to display the work put in by band students over the summer. The preview begins at 7 p.m. with free admission.

It will include brief fundamental exercises, the spirit show, and the beginning of the varsity show. This will be the band’s first time playing in front of an audience before their halftime performance at the football game coming up on Sept. 2.
