The Earth Warriors club will be returning for their fourth consecutive year, and will be meeting on Monday, Sept. 11 at 3:50 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 8:00 a.m. in Coach Arkfield’s room M212.

Earth Warriors is a club that promotes environmentalism and a healthy lifestyle. They host monthly charities and donate to various charities of their choice and provide community service to those who need it.

Joseph Harris, Earth Warriors President, gets the club involved in many charities that help the community. The semi-annual canned food drive hosted by Earth Warriors is a successful charity put on in the past at Timber Creek. However, there’s a change of pace this year because they’re instead donating old shirts to a charity.

“We’ve done a canned food drive last year, [collected] over half a thousand cans for the Christian Community Storehouse. This year we’re donating our old shirts to charity of our choice and we’re donating proceeds of a fundraiser to an environmental charity we have yet to choose,” said Harris, “community service has been offered via service to the club and trash clean ups at Bear Creek and Panther Creek Island Pavilion, but this year we’re doing service at a soup kitchen this coming December.”

The Earth Warriors hope to start the year off right and raise awareness of protection for the environment.
