For the 2017-18 school year on Oct. 11 Timber Creek will be administering the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT)/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT). Students will be tested on math, reading, writing and language. The PSAT/NMSQT is meant to help students gauge how they are progressing with college level skills, receive information from colleges, prepare for the SAT, and enter competitions for national scholarships.
All sophomores and juniors will be able to test with no cost at all. Freshman are able to test for $16. Registration for the PSAT can be done online at the campus web store or bringing cash or a check to Mrs. Judd in the front office.
Cash or Check payments should be made out to Timber Creek High School for $16, upon payment to Judd students will receive a study guide.
Online payments to the web store will have a $3 convenience charge, and students will be able to pick up a study guide in the front office.
All payments must be made by Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. to be able to take the PSAT.
Students who are taking the PSAT are advised to bring a sack lunch. Seniors and freshman who do not take the PSAT will have a late arrival at 11 a.m. Transportation buses are available at regular times if students are unable to get to school at the later start time. KCAL students will not go to KCAL this day.
