Timber Creek Junior Victoria Ramos is starting a girls rugby team.
Anyone interested can come to practices from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the KYA fields, field 7. The meetings are every Monday and Wednesday.
Ramos says that the sport helps build strength, stamina, keeps the player in shape and it creates discipline.
“No experience is needed. We always start with the basics. Even with the experienced players, we start from the beginning. We explain the game, we explain everything.” Ramos says.
“It’s like a sisterhood,” Ramos explains, “It’s such a personal and respectful sport. You can make so many friends out of it.”
The next meeting is on October 2 in room A126 right after school.
