Timber Creek’s HOSA would like to thank all students and staff who donated or attempted to donate blood at the Carter BloodCare’s Blood Drive on Nov. 30. The effort and time allotted for the drive is appreciated.
Timber Creek collectively donated 127 units of blood, a new record for the school. Each unit can be later used to save a life.
HOSA holds an bi-annual drive on campus to allow students to become donors if they are not able to at other times.
Junior, Erin Obregon, divulges into why she was willing to participate.
“I have heard so many stories of people suffering through tragic events and needing blood.” Obregon said. “So, I understand how precious every unit collected is and I really wanted to contribute to that cause.”
