Timber Creek girls wrestling won the largest and toughest pre-state tournament in Texas on Jan. 5 and 6, 2018 . Among the 71 girls teams, the Falcons took first place. The boys did well also, taking tenth place out of 84 teams.
The top girls wrestler was Timber Creek’s Bianca Rosales.

The tournament was the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District Invitational at the Berry Center in Houston.
“Teams from all four regions are there, some of the toughest kids in the state are there, and there were 400 ranked kids in the state there,” said Timber Creek Wrestling Coach Jayson Conger.
In their next tournament, the Euless Trinity High School Trojan Classic, the girls were champs again. Wrestler Chalimarys Rodriguez won first place, Jude Miller took third and Rachael Ingram scored fourth.

Varsity and junior varsity boys wrestling had a strong showing at the Trojan Classic as well. Tommy Tzell finished second in a tough 126 pound bracket, according to the Timber Creek Wrestling Twitter.
