On Monday, Aug. 27 the tenth annual parent open house and silent auction will be held from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. throughout the halls of Timber Creek.
The open house gives parents the opportunity to walk their students’ schedule, make connections with teachers, get to know the school, and understand the course load for each class for the 2018-2019 school year.
“It will be an open format for our Falcon Community to meet staff members and teachers, learn about curriculum and expectations, walk the building, and socialize with friends and families,” Principal Michelle Somerhalder said when sharing the objectives of the event.
The silent auction will be held in the main hallway. Items such as skin care baskets and summer camp spots will be auctioned off. Prizes will be donated by multiple departments such as baseball, soccer, basketball, and the English department. The proceeds gathered from the silent auction will be used to benefit the school.
“We will be partnering the open house with a silent auction to begin to raise money for the bronze Falcon statue that will be installed at the end of the year,” Somerhalder shared. “This Falcon statue will help to solidify our traditions and be a representation of our desire to continue to soar to new heights.”
