The Junior Varsity Tennis team ended their first tournament of the season on Aug. 9, with two history making wins against Varsity teams. Not only are these wins the first time JV has beat a Varsity team, but they prove the team is equipped for a season of victories.

The tournament began on August 8th with an 11-8 victory against the North Crowley Varsity team, but was promptly defeated in the second game. The day ended in triumph, as the Falcons continued their winning ways, beating Brock’s Varsity Tennis squad by a convincing score of 11-8.

“Every single player was proud of our team and themselves for the amount of effort and skill they brought onto the courts that tournament,” JV player Brooke Dearing said. “We have an amazing JV team with the determination to step up to the plate at any moment,” Dearing finished.

“The team played really well and beating two varsity teams really gives us a lot of confidence for future matches,” JV player Audrey Duncan said. Prevailing over these teams is a step in the right direction for the players’ 2019 season and demonstrates the strength of the team.
