The jazz band will host their fourth annual swing dance concert on Friday, Feb. 28 in the cafeteria from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $5 until Feb. 28, while tickets sold at the door will cost attendees $8.
Winterguard assistant director, Ms. Lacey, will teach participating students how to swing dance and hand jive. They will also be serving food and drinks and will give out Mardi Gras beads for students to wear for pictures in and out of the photo booth that will be present.
Throughout the night, the jazz band will perform a variety of jazz pieces like Moonlight Serenade, Satin Doll, Blue Skies and many more.
“There’s a lot of different solos throughout different songs,” Mari Salinas said. “It’s gonna be cool for everyone to listen and watch.”
