Band season has been in full swing since late July with band camp every weekday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Members have been tirelessly working to make sure that the performances during every football game this season are top notch.
“A lot of time and effort goes into this,” junior, Steven Musser said, “A lot of people may not know the time and effort that we put into these things and I’m very excited to see where it’s headed.”
With practice almost every day after school, during the band class period, and even before school in the morning, no one should miss the opportunity to see them in action.
“It’s different and it’s really something to behold” said junior, Sebastian Lopez.
Along with the marching season comes competition. Each year the band goes to competitions such as the Bands of America DFW, Duncanville Invitational, and the Bands of America San Antonio.
“Competition is so much fun and it’s super exciting that we get to go again since we didn’t get to do this last year.” said junior, Ashton Quadrini.
After suffering a loss of playing time due to COVID, the members are very excited to get back to a normal season this year.
“I’m so motivated this marching season because we haven’t had a real season in a year. Marching season is the most enjoyable thing about high school band and I can’t wait to see what the band accomplishes and what memories we can make.” senior, Ashley Foster said.
Come see the band perform at football games and their competitions.
