The Gold-Out game and pep rally will happen on Sept. 2, 2021. The Gold-Out game will be at the KISD Athletic Complex at 7 p.m. against Lewisville. This year, the cheer team will be holding their annual fundraiser for St. Jude by selling t-shirts to the student body.
Gold-Out shirt ticket sales went from Aug. 18- 23. Pickup for the shirts starts on Aug. 30, in the cafeteria. They will have 100 shirts available for students to purchase in-person for $20, if they did not order in advance.
In past years, the cheer team has raised $3000, this year their goal is to raise $3400. If they reach their goal, Principal Duhon will shave head-football Coach Williams’ head at the pep rally.
Each year, half the proceeds from the fundraiser goes to St. Jude. To help reach their goal, they are selling jean passes to teachers. Jean passes allow teachers to have the opportunity to wear jeans when otherwise regularly wearing professional clothing. During 3rd period on Aug. 31, all students have the chance to donate directly to St. Jude and give their money to their teachers to go towards fundraising.
