Just like anything else, style and fashion have stood the test of time. Decades upon decades of fashion have influenced future times, sometimes even going as far as to bring back older styles. Senior Ethan Hyatt takes some of these past influences to heart, which shows through his outfits.
Hyatt likes to bring his style to life by wearing pieces that are reminiscent of what he likes to call “70’s Grandpa”. Heavier outerwear like vests and silly patterns are staples of his style, as is Hyatt’s wide variety of shoes. “I dress how I want to, it’s very wacky,” Hyatt said.
Hyatt’s style can be classified further as having more of a heavier sweater on top while adding elements such as belts or other accessories to add a smart touch to the outfit.
“I’m really into shoes. I don’t know if that counts, I have a lot of pairs of shoes. I like to shuffle between shoes because I think shoes make or break the outfit. I don’t know if I have a specific pair that I wear a lot, but I do enjoy waking up every morning, picking my outfit and then deciding which shoes complimented the best,” Hyatt said.
His passion for shoes and his overall craft didn’t just come from anywhere. If anything, he’s been heavily inspired by his female friends. “I get a lot of inspiration from my friends. If I see something cool that they’re wearing , a lot of my female friends actually which is funny, if I see something cool that they’re wearing I’ll ask where they got it and I’ll look for something similar,” Hyatt said.
Though, he is always looking to branch out and develop his style further. “I really want a women’s sweater because I like their cut and I can’t find one anywhere but, I really think it would look good,” said Hyatt.
