Friday, Oct. 8, The Lady Falcons took on rivals Byron Nelson at a home game that ended in a 3-set sweeping victory.
Timber Creek, coming in with an impressive starting line-up came in with numerous assists and a challenging rally in the second set, lasting upwards of three minutes. Seniors Halle Sherlock and Megan Rosen were a power duo at their finest, while DS Junior Camryn Dennis made an incredible amount of difficult saves.
Creek’s Rival, Byron Nelson walks in on the aftermath of the tense energy that followed the football game amongst the same teams, hoping to keep their school’s winning streak.
The game was a hopeful one for this year’s seniors, who are gunning to bring their team into the playoffs for their last year. “There definitely is a sense of pressure on us [seniors], ” Sherlock said, “There’s this fear of not doing enough since it’s our last year. There are no more do-overs. This is it.”
