The holiday season has begun and many organizations are starting their holiday fundraisers and drives. There are many places to donate within the community and through the school.

The Timber Creek Sky Dancers are hosting their first annual food drive. The food drive starts Friday, December 3 and runs through December 16. Donations can be dropped off outside of the dance room, A114. Each can donated will earn a student half a service hour. All donations will be going to the community storehouse.

FBLA is hosting a Christmas card drive from December 6-15. They are requesting homemade Christmas cards that can be delivered to nursing homes. For every three cards donated students can receive one hour of community service, with a max of five hours. Cards can be dropped off outside of N203. There will be a QR code outside that students can scan when dropping off the cards for service hours.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is selling holiday and Christmas cards to raise money. The cards are sold in packs of 10. Each card image is inspired by patient artwork at St. Jude. They can be purchased HERE on the St. Jude website.

ACH Child and Family Services is having a Toy Drive. You can donate an experience through the ACH website HERE or you can purchase a gift from their Amazon wishlist to have sent directly to them. CLICK HERE for the Amazon wishlist. Donations can be dropped off at the ACH location: 3712 Wichita Street Fort Worth, Texas 76119. All donations must be new and unwrapped. The drop-off deadline for all donations is December 10.

The United States Postal service is is joining the annual Operation Santa. Operation Santa provides the opportunity to adopt a ‘Letter to Santa’ from an underprivileged child. Readers adopt the letters and send anonymous gifts from the wishlists. Presents must be packed according to USPS packing guidelines. Gifts must be dropped off at a participating USPS location by December 18.
