As marching season comes to a close, the indoor drumline competition season hits the ground running. The 2020 show theme is Underground.

After competing in two competitions, marching band will compete in Duncanville, TX, on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Panther Stadium, where they will compete to win the the 26th Annual Duncanville Marching Invitational.
Marching band members are no strangers to hard work. They practice hours every week in preparation for their competition season, and the dedication of these athletes and musicians is truly admirable. As a way to showcase their talent and diligence, an annual Marching Expo is held at Keller ISD stadium.
The sun shines down upon a team putting in hours of arduous work on a hot Texas summer day. Exhausted and ready to feel the cool feeling of air conditioning on their burnt skin, the team fights through, preparing for a long, intense season. The slightest mistake could be the difference between glory or failure.
On Tuesday, April 30 at 7 p.m., the Timber Creek Band released the 2019 marching band show theme on TCTV’s Youtube channel. After many hours of mystery solving throughout the day, the band students were thrilled to see that next year’s show will be ‘Myths and Mysteries.’
The sixth annual Bands of Keller 5K will be held on Saturday, April 27 at the Keller Town Hall. This year, the event will consist of a Fun Run, commencing at 8 a.m., and a 5K that will start at 8:30 a.m. As participants run, the four Keller ISD high school bands will play music along the course.
On March 16, the drumline finished first place at the Winter Guard International or WGI Houston regional competition. Following their tenth place finish in WGI Championships in Dayton, Ohio last year, the group wanted to leave their mark on their last WGI competition of the season.
This past weekend, the Indoor Drumline started their season off receiving first place with their show entitled “Club Duæl”. The group performed in Lewisville, TX at North Texas Colorguard Association or NTCA, competing against 2 other schools and finishing with a 75.15, a four point lead from second place.
