On Tuesday Sept. 20, the Timber Creek 2016-17 golf tournament season began. Our Falcon JV girls and boys competed at the Northwest Invitational Golf Tournament hosted by Northwest High School. The tournament was held at The Golf Course at Champions Circle.

Our golfers competed in a field of over 100 golfers under hot, humid conditions and made a good showing.

The girl’s team was led by Cally Hodges who finished in a tie for tenth place, just five strokes out of a top five medalist position. The boys team was headed by Drew Casterline who completed the day with a score of 86 and a tie for ninth place. Casterline was followed closely by Noah Parker and Adam Cogburn who each carded scores in the 80s.

The boys team of Ross Shockley, Anthony Popson, Noah Parker, Drew Casterline and Adam Gogburn posted a team score of 356, giving them a fourth place finish just over a dozen strokes away from the third place Jaguars team from Flower Mound High School.

Congratulations to the Timber Creek golfers for a great tournament!
