“The community awareness group has been putting together a local project regarding epigenetics, a subject in biology that proves your lifestyle and the choices you make can change the way your genetic material is expressed, it not only changes your genetic material but the genetic material of your future children because these handicap changes/patterns of gene expression are passed along through heredity, we hope to increase our community’s awareness of the topic in order to promote smart choices and healthy lifestyles,” HOSA officer, Clara West commented.
