If students are interested in pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM), Engineering Club is an excellent fit.

Engineering Club, formerly called STEM club, is a group with a large purpose in aiding students pursuing or wanting to pursue a field in science, technology, engineering or math. The club is sponsored by the Career and Technology teacher, Greg Gopffarth. Anyone who is on the STEM pathway or is interested in a career in one of these areas may attend meetings.

For students interested, meetings will be held on Tuesdays after school, in room M116 from 4:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Sept. 19, the club will have an informational meeting and have applications available for those who want to join.

This year, the club aims to compete in competitions such as the VEX Robotic Challenges, the Samsung Challenge, UT Tyler Cardboard Canoe Competition, and the Verizon App Challenge. They will also be building projects that are needed by teachers.

For more information or questions students can contact Mr. Gopffarth at Greg.Gopffarth@kelllerisd.net.
