Science
Dawn Gallenstein– Dawn is a very dedicated teacher. Her schedule this year has her teaching AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2 and AP Physics C. Even though she has a demanding teaching load she always helps her colleagues whether it is with canvas, TAC, or helps teachers find material and ideas for their classes. She is a very humble and kind person who has great relationships with her students. One more thing…she has her 2nd degree black belt!

Social Studies
Latricia Davis-Ms. Davis has taken on the challenging role of teaching three different subjects, two of which are AP, while also not having a designated classroom. She is a Ph.D. graduate student and has become involved in several leadership roles at TCHS. While this can be overwhelming for many, she has taken it in stride and has joyfully joined our Social Studies team with a fresh, positive outlook and a great amount of ambition. She consistently creates engaging and fun classroom activities, and is always looking for ways her subject can be relevant and exciting to all her students. Latricia Davis is a valuable asset to the Social Studies team and is very deserving of this award!

English
Jamie Bird – Jamie took a leap of faith, leaving years of teaching 4th grade, to come to TCHS to teach 10th grade PAP. She has fit right in with our team. Her passion for her kids is evident the moment you walk into her room. She introduced flexible seating in her classroom, which the kids love, and spearheaded the donation drive for Katy Mayde Creek HS. Jamie is such an asset to our team and we are so happy to have her with us.

Fine Arts
Hunter Bown is the candidate for the Fine Arts Department (Assistant Band Director and 3rd year at TCHS)
Mr. Bown works tirelessly for the benefit of the band students. His passion for students and music is consistently on display whether he is rehearsing a small group or the entire marching band. Students value Mr. Bown for his commitment to excellence, quick wit, and robust laugh. We are so lucky to have Hunter Bown at TCHS!

World Language
Adriana Vazquez – World Language Teacher of the Month for October is Adriana Vazquez. We all know your first year of teaching is a struggle but Coach Vazquez is doing a great job of teaching on level Spanish II and helping coach girls’ volleyball to the playoffs. With all of her time given up to practices, games, and travel, Coach Vazquez still makes an impact on her Spanish II students. As a bilingual person, Srta. Vazquez understands the benefits and importance of a second language. She tries to give her students this great opportunity even on days when they do not see the future benefits. Keep up the good fight, Coach Vazquez!

Math
Katherine Lorenz – She has stepped up to the plate to help when other teachers have been out long term. She has been a great encouragement to the department!

CTE
Pamela Mallory – CTE would like to Nominate Mrs. Pamela Mallory. Mrs. Mallory teaches Health Science courses and is a registered nurse. She also sponsors HOSA– Health Occupations Students of America, further helping her students achieve their dream of a health profession. Teaching is her second career and TCHS is certainly, blessed to have her experience and positive influence for our Falcons wishing to pursue a career in the Health Science field.

SPED
Jared Swart – Jared Swart is a supportive teacher. He encourages his students academically, socially, and emotionally. He will drop whatever he is doing to help a student who is going through a rough time. Both students and faculty members benefit from his efforts.
