Let the caffeine craze begin! The Daily Grind will open its doors Monday, Aug. 27 for anyone who desperately needs that precious cup of coffee.
Students can visit the coffee shop during lunches (11 a.m. to 1 p.m) to purchase coffee, snacks, tea, and so many more food or drink options. This year’s menu will introduce a mixture of new items, including fresh lemonade.
Aside from offering new drinks, Chef Leonor Wilford also hopes to include more student artwork inside the cafe. She wants the Daily Grind to be “a canvas [for students] to express themselves.” Or, you know, espresso themselves.
Other news regarding the coffee shop is the addition of new employees. “Their names are Keri Maggard and Allegra Grace,” Wilford said. “We are very excited about having them on board, they will add to what Acacia Chance and Michelle Barber built last year.”
The Daily Grind team is excited about another year of serving drinks, but the excitement extends even further beyond Timber Creek. Wilford has plans of opening the second coffee shop in the district, called the Central Perks, which will hopefully be ready to open by mid September.
While we wait for more news regarding the possibility of morning hours and the addition of new student artwork, stop by the Daily Grind during lunch to enjoy a nice cup of coffee, or tea, or lemonade, or food, or… I think you get the point.
