On Sunday, March 3, the bowling team competed in their Regional competition in Amarillo, Texas finishing strong in fourth with some bowlers advancing to state.

Due to the girls team finishing undefeated 12-0 during their district season, they automatically advanced to the Regionals team event, along with four other schools from around North Texas, such as Keller High School. The top three teams advanced to state, while Timber Creek placed fourth.

While putting team competition aside, four of the strongest bowlers in the district came to compete in not only team event but the singles competition as well.

Freshman, Connor Fleming was the only boy to represent Timber Creek at Regionals. The girls who competed, Alyssa Ballard, Ellie Drescher, and Kaitlyn Fleming, all competed against one another and 11 other girls in the their division. The top five bowlers advanced to State competition in both girls and boys singles divisions.

In the end, Ballard finished first overall, Drescher finished second, and Kaitlyn Fleming, finished fifth. Connor Fleming had a great outing, but unfortunately needed a few more pins to advance.

The girls will be competing against girls from all over the state on Saturday, March 30 in Grand Prairie at Forum Bowl, they hope to do as great as they did at Regionals, if not better.
