Students enrolled in the improv class will perform Improv Mania on Monday, May 13. The show will begin at 7 pm. and end at 8:30 p.m. in the black box (FA116). Admission for the night of improvisations is free. Hosting the event is special guest, student media teacher Greg Janda.

The improv class is all about being quick on your feet and reacting to the situation you’re in without breaking the reality that your scene sets up. Improv is not a solo act, it has entirely relied upon the trust you put in your scene partners. An improviser’s main objective should be to make their partners look as good as possible. Improv Mania is an event that captures the spontaneous nature of improv, even the opening speech is improvised.

“It has a kind of WWE wrestling theme but the theme doesn’t impact our scenes that much it’s more of just an excuse to dress up funny and have characters in between scenes,” junior Lucas Bradanini said. “The class is amazing and I’m proud of how much every single student in that class has grown.”
