The Timber Creek high school marching band made UIL State for the second time in school history this past Saturday. After placing fourth in the preliminary round for their 11:00 AM performance at UIL Area, they were scheduled to preform again later that night for the final round. The three Keller ISD high schools who had advanced to UIL Area; Keller, Keller Central, and Timber Creek, all on the way to the final round.
Timber Creek had their finals performance at 10:15 PM, the third to last band to perform. After the final band performed the judges finalized their decisions. The top six bands were then announced, all advancing to the state competition. Sixth place was Duncanville, fifth place was L.D. Bell, fourth place was Keller, third place was Timber Creek, second place was Waxahachie, and first place was Coppell. Those six bands will join the other state qualifiers from throughout the state on Nov. 7th and 8th in San Antonio at the Alamodome.
