History Club has their first meeting Wednesday, September 29 in room S210. The meeting will begin after school, students are encourage to stay for as long as they can.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) opens Friday, Oct. 1, 2021. Starting the 2021-2022 school year, Texas has made it a requirement to have filled out a FAFSA and a TASFA in order for seniors to graduate. Students who wish not to participate can fill out an opt-out form and submit the form to their counselor.
Timer Creek’s High School’s 4-star running back Emeka Megwa has officially reclassified to the class of 2021, and will be leaving high school early to play football for the University of Washington this Season.
The first round of the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) all-state choir auditions finished on Saturday, Sept. 18 with 50 TCHS students advancing, the most of any school that competed in the region. This year, the top students in each voice part per region advanced after the initial round of auditions.
On Wednesday, Sept. 15, semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship were released. Seniors, Haashir Choudhry, Nabeela Hassan, and Hannah Ongmanchi were announced as National Merit Semifinalists this year.
Falcon Theatre will put on their first fall show, Frankenstein, from Thursday, Sept. 23 through Saturday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center. Tickets will cost $5 for students and $10 for adults and will be sold at the box office.
Texas has sued 15 school districts across the state who have mandated masks in the classroom. This follows Governor Greg Abbott’s threat to sue after his ban on local mask mandates in May. Currently 108 districts are defying the order.
This year’s Video Music Awards (VMA’s) were held on Sept. 12, hosted by Doja Cat on MTV. The numerous outfits on the carpet however were nearly just as talked about as the awards. It may not be the Met Gala, but opinions can surface throughout the media judged off of initial presentation and execution. This years standards were even higher coming out of the pandemic.

On Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, the band will be hosting a spirit night at the Whataburger on 3052 Golden Triangle Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76244 from 5-8 p.m.
