The beginning to the end of a phenomenal swim season that will be forever remembered in the history of Timber Creek took place at the Pete Ragus Aquatic Center in Lubbock Feb. 1-3.

KISD Joins Carroll, Eaton, Byron Nelson, Guyer in New UIL District
UIL has made the decision to realign the districts for the 2018-2020 season.
Nearing the end of their 2017-2018 season, the swim team will be competing at their Districts Meet on Saturday, Jan. 20 starting at 2:30 p.m. at the Keller Natatorium.
On Thursday, Jan. 11 the swim team will compete in the final dual meet for the 2017-2018 swim season to recognize those graduating this The meet will be held at the KISD Natatorium and is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
At the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, Coach Betsy Murphy arrived on campus to fulfill the recently vacant Head Swim Coach position at Timber Creek. After the past couple years as an assistant swim coach at Central High School, Murphy was excited to transfer and lead a entirely new team to high victories.
After almost five months of getting up at 5:30 a.m. for practice, five days a week and seemingly endless criticism and sets from coaches, it all comes down to whether the Timber Creek High School swim team qualifiers perform well at Districts, and the impact the team has had thus far on each athlete.
Every morning the swim team goes to practice to start their day in a freezing cold pool. The daily routine of suffering at the crack of dawn brings the team together into a family, which is exactly what the swim team is all about.
