Battle of the Books is a competition in which 14 schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, read 10 books that are assigned to be read by the teams.
Last year Timber Creek made it to the second round, but Flower Mound took first place. The teams consist of anyone who wants to join, and there are no tryouts or requirements.
To sign up, students should see librarian, Brandy Abbott in the library. There will be an informational meeting after school on Oct. 19 in the library.
In March, the teams will compete Southlake Town Center in a trivia-like school versus school about each book.
