On March 26, the wrestling team will compete for the first time ever under the Friday night lights at the Keller ISD stadium. This will be the first quad event that all four Keller ISD high schools will compete outside. This extravagant style match also calls for celebration, as it will also be senior night.

“The atmosphere, senior night, and getting to see the wrestlers compete brings a ton of excitement”, Coach Jayson Conger said.

Timber Creek wrestlers will face off against familiar faces as all four Keller high schools will be competing.

“All the Keller ISD teams are coached well and work hard,” Coach Conger said. “The kids are all familiar with each other from wrestling year around at clubs and events, so that adds a unique element to the duals with the inner district schools.”

For all wrestlers involved, this meet brings great excitement. “I’m really looking forward to this quad and being able to showcase how hard we’ve worked this year as a team despite the outstanding circumstances,” junior Kendall Kuhn said. “We’ve never done anything quite like an outdoor event, so what better a time than senior night against all 4 Keller ISD teams.”

However, for the seniors, this meet holds a special meaning. “I’m a little sad that it’s my final duals in Keller ISD, but also excited to compete in a unique environment,” senior Emma Kistler said.

“This is a unique opportunity to wrestle in the spotlight, our last duals in KISD, so it’ll be a special moment that we can cherish for the rest of our lives,” senior Patrick Procopio said

Friday night’s event will feature four wrestling mats and eight teams, and all the action will be starting at 5 p.m. at the KISD stadium field. Make sure to watch Timber Creek wrestlers take on opposing high schools, and come support our seniors for their most memorable match yet.
